Siwa Tile

Spanish Va is abbreviated as Siva. Because of its S-shaped appearance, it is also known as S-shaped tile. It is made of high-quality local clay through one-time sintering and has a natural color. It is mainly suitable for medium and high-end villas, especially for complex roof structures such as arcs or semi-arcs. Xiwa has a strong three-dimensional effect, wide application, low water absorption rate, strong frost resistance, extreme cold and heat resistance, and acid and alkali resistance. After being fired at a high temperature of 1250 degrees, the color is more rich and the texture is more solid.

Advantages

"West Tile" (also known as "Spanish tile" or "S-shaped tile") is a classic tile type commonly used in building roofs. Due to its wide adaptability and balanced performance, it is widely applied in residential buildings, villas, and the renovation of ancient buildings. Its core advantages can be elaborated from four dimensions: structural design, practical performance, decorative effect, and applicable scenarios, as follows:

The structural design is scientific and the laying stability is strong

1. Tight interlocking, wind resistance and leak-proof: The west tile adopts an "S" -shaped curved surface design. The tiles can form an interlocking structure of upper and lower interlocking rather than simple stacking. This design can significantly enhance the integrity of the roof, resist strong winds (especially in high-rise buildings and coastal areas), and at the same time prevent rainwater from seeping through the gaps of the tiles. Its waterproof effect is better than that of flat tiles.

2. Uniform force distribution and good load-bearing capacity: The curved surface design can disperse the roof load (such as snow accumulation and the weight of maintenance personnel), reduce local pressure concentration. When fixed with mortar or installed with hanging tile strips, it is less likely to deform or fall off, and has a longer service life (up to 30-50 years under standard installation).

3. Smooth drainage: The "S" -shaped arc has been optimized, allowing rainwater to flow quickly along the tile surface and preventing water accumulation (especially on roofs with steep slopes), thus avoiding tile corrosion and roof leakage caused by long-term water accumulation.

It has excellent practical performance and is adaptable to multiple environments

1. Strong weather resistance, suitable for complex climates: - The glass material itself is fired at high temperatures, and after glaze treatment, the west tile has the characteristics of high-temperature resistance, cold resistance (can be stably used in an environment ranging from -20℃ to 60℃), and UV aging resistance, and is not easy to fade or crack. The glaze surface is dense and smooth, capable of resisting rain erosion, dust in the air, and acidic or alkaline substances (such as slight corrosion in industrial areas). It requires no frequent maintenance on a daily basis. Only regular cleaning of fallen leaves and accumulated dust is needed.

2. Excellent heat insulation and soundproofing effects: The glazed tiles themselves have a certain thickness, and the hollow interlayer formed after the tiles are laid (the gap between the roof and the base layer) can effectively prevent outdoor heat from entering the room (reducing the indoor temperature by 3-5℃ in summer), while also reducing the noise of rainwater hitting the roof and improving the living comfort.

3. Fire resistance performance meets standards: The glass material is non-combustible. The fire resistance rating of the roof paved with west tiles can reach B1 level or above, effectively preventing the spread of sparks (such as fires in the surrounding area and sparks from fireworks and firecrackers), enhancing the safety of the building.

It has rich decorative effects and is suitable for various architectural styles

1. Aesthetically pleasing design, combining classic style with flexibility The "S" -shaped curved surface of Xiwa features smooth lines. After installation, the roof presents a natural wavy texture, which is more layered and three-dimensional than flat tiles. It is suitable for European, Mediterranean, and Spanish architectural styles (faithfully restoring the essence of the style), and can also be adjusted in color and size to match Chinese and new Chinese architectural styles (such as pairing with bluish-gray glaze to replace traditional tube tiles). It combines modernity with classical charm.

2. Diverse colors and numerous personalized options The glaze of west tiles can be customized in a variety of colors (such as vermilion, royal blue, bluish gray, golden yellow, dark black, etc.), and the glaze color is uniform, bright and not easy to fade. It can be flexibly matched according to the building's exterior facade (such as wall material, door and window color) to create a unique visual effect (for example, red tiles with beige walls are often used in villas, and bluish gray tiles with blue brick walls are often used in ancient buildings).

It is convenient for construction and has outstanding cost performance

1. Simple installation and high efficiency: Xiwa has a moderate weight and does not require the assistance of heavy equipment. Workers can manually carry and lay it. The standardized installation process with hanging tile strips and water-running strips features low construction difficulty and short construction period, making it suitable for on-site rapid construction.

2. Low maintenance cost and high cost performance: Compared with metal tiles (prone to oxidation and rust) and wooden tiles (prone to decay), the weather resistance of western tiles does not require frequent replacement. In the later stage, only occasional checks on the interlocking condition of the tiles and repair of damaged tiles are needed, resulting in lower long-term usage costs. Meanwhile, its price is at a medium level (higher than cement tiles but lower than high-end metal tiles), balancing performance and economy.
